Dorothy Smith told FOX23 on Tuesday that her husband's body had been located.
On Monday, as the search for Adrian Smith was called off, Dorothy Smith couldn't find the words, but her body language said everything.
She sought comfort in family and friend's arms. The comfort was only temporary. She'd rather hold her husband.
He fell into Old Lake Hominy on Sunday. His boat flipped and he was missing until Tuesday morning.
"We have no idea whether or not he's still alive, because there's no body," said Dorothy Smith at the time.
Divers returned with a few items: fishing poles, and a tackle box. Dorothy already told her three kids their dad is dead.
"Telling them that and them crying for an hour," said Smith.
Adrian, and Jimmy, a work friend, had been planning the fishing trip.
"He knows that lake like the back of his hand, which hard to process that he drowned in it," said Smith.
Osage County officials told FOX23 that Jimmy swam back to shore, but he went looking when he realized Adrian wasn't beside him.
"A great husband, father, friend, son, brother, he was a great man," said Smith.
Rescue crews called off their search Monday afternoon. Smith told FOX23 his body was located on Tuesday morning.
