Friends and family of a woman killed in a car accident are trying to raise money for her funeral.
FOX23 reported Sunday that Samantha Ruvalcaba died after being ejected from an SUV on Highway 169.
On Tuesday, her family gathered at 21st and Sheridan with signs to gain the attention of passersby.
Family members are looking for people willing to have Samantha's friends and family wash their car to help get money for her funeral.
They say she was taken too soon.
"No matter what the troubles were, she was always smiling. She was the most beautiful girl I've known," said family friend Tavita Ochoa.
And now, Ruvalcaba's loved ones aren't only suffering the pain of her loss, they are trying to find the money to lay her to rest.
"My mom's a single mom. She's basically raised us alone her whole life. We went looking at funeral homes yesterday. The costs are crazy. You never think it'd be so much to bury someone," said Ruvalcaba’s sister, Crystal Sierra.
But it's not just about her burial, FOX23 learned Ruvalcaba left behind a 1-year-old son.
So family members are raising money to help support him as well.
The baby's father, Alvaro Mondragon, who was driving the SUV Sunday, survived the wreck.
Still, this family has a long road ahead.
"I'm just glad she's in a better place looking down, knowing we are sticking together through this," said NAME.
Witnesses say a car cut Mondragon's SUV off and when he overcorrected, the SUV flipped.
Police are looking for the driver of the car who caused the crash.
