The Adair County Sheriff's Office and the District 27 District Attorney's Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force seized drugs and money drug agents found on a ranch in Green Country.

Deputies arrested Waylon Williams around noon Friday. Investigators tell FOX23's Dontaye Carter they have heard for years about the money and drugs exchanging hands on Williams' property and finally they got a solid tip.

"There's nobody above the law. Drugs are a detriment to our society, anything we can do to keep our children off drugs," said Adair County Sheriff David Hardin.

Investigators seized more than a pound of marijuana in numerous bags, 19 guns, nearly $20,000 in cash and a $17,000 check.

"There isn't no reason for that," said Dennis Proctor.

He lives in Adair County and said it seemed like the number of people getting busted with drugs in the county is growing.

Hardin said with the help of surrounding agencies they are able to crack down more frequently.

"We don't have the resources financially to require the staffing and the equipment to do this alone," Hardin.

Williams also owned a liquor store but no one inside would answer any questions or tell FOX23 where their boss could be found. However, Proctor believes there's only one way to keep people away from drugs.

"Go to church. Have God first in your life,” he said. "That's the only way."

Deputies said they are in the process of running the serial numbers on the guns. Williams faces charges of distribution of marijuana and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.

FOX23 has learned there could be more arrests.

So Putting God first is how to stay off drugs?? marijuana is a plant that HE put on this planet. Read your BIBLE before you go preaching. In the Bible that they preach out of it was mans job to name all living things and isn't a plant living?? We were given dominion over all of these things. Didn't the Native AMericans imbibe by smoking, drinking, and ingesting this "dangerous" drug?? Give me a break all marijuana does Is make you lazy, hungry, and euphoric.

Couldn't get the video to load I see the GUNZ are just plain garden variety hunting & varmint rifles...not exactly AK47s. But here's the thing, if a Podunk Sheriff thinks you have some money in your house, he will figure out a way to confiscate it. It's how they fund their fancy vee-hickels.

Who is Dennis Proctor, what does he have to do with it and why should his delusions about gods be reported? He sounds like a complete moron.
