All lanes of westbound SH-266 are now open between SH-167/193rd E. Ave. to the US-169 junction after a fatal accident Thursday. The road was closed for more than two hours.
Officials say a fatality accident involving two vehicles happened just before five Thursday night. Troopers on the scene say a Chevy Tahoe was trying to pass a semi and slammed head-on into a Chevy Malibu in the oncoming lane. Two people in the Malibu died, the driver of the Tahoe was also killed. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identifies the victims as Owen McCool, 29, of Tulsa, the driver of the Tahoe; Clifford Colyer, 21, of Tulsa, the driver of the Malibu; and Garold Benner, 23, of Tulsa, a passenger in the Malibu.
