Broken arrow police have identified a bicyclist killed in a hit and run accident Wednesday night.

Police say 71-year old Earl Eugene Teske died after being hit by a white four-door Chevrolet Malibu, police think the car was manufactured between 2008 and 2012.

The crash happened around 10:30 on Wednesday night near 18th and New Orleans. Police say Teske was riding his bike eastbound on New Orleans between 9th and 23rd streets when he was hit by the car.

Police say the suspect vehicle will have part of the white bumper cover missing on the passenger side and front from the crash. Police say the car left the scene of the accident going eastbound.

Broken Arrow Police ask that any persons that may have information about the driver or vehicle to contact the Broken Arrow Police Department at (918) 259-8400 or Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.

This collision is still under investigation by Officer Myca Long of the Traffic Specialist Unit, reference case number 12-6720.

MY sentiments exactly. I getting ready to take off on my bicycle in a few minutes. When riding in the dark it's always best to have a good headlight. That makes it easier for automobile operators to see you at night. Condolences to this riders friends and family.
