A 7-year-old Collinsville boy is planning a birthday party this weekend, but he won't be the one getting all the gifts.

Once the party is over, he'll walk away empty handed.

“Chase is a very awesome soon-to-be eight-year-old boy,” Chase’s dad, Mark Rowe, said.
Chase is about to have an awesome birthday party.
“We're going to play laser tag and sometimes eat popcorn and get toys, and my dad told me there's probably going to snow cones,” Chase told FOX23.
Chase won't go home with those toys.
“Chase suggested we have a party and collect toys at the same time,” Mark said.
The toys that are collected will be donated to Toys for Tots for children who don't have anything.
“They don't have any toys. I do, and they want toys really bad,” Chase said, “I am giving a birthday party for a toy drive.”
Chase is opening up the party on Sunday to everyone. He’s even got a local mobile laser tag company on board.
“Chase has this wonderful heart, most of (the things we attend) are just birthday parties, but he's got this wonderful heart. It's just an honor to be part of it,” Danny Stockton owner of Red Dot Laser Tag said.
The toys will go to the Owasso chapter of Toys for Tots, and the coordinator of that effort says the need is almost greater than ever.
“(We’ll) probably give gifts to around 2,000 children,” Michelle Hayes said.
That is almost double the amount of children who got toys from Owasso Toys for Tots last year, so Chase could be saving the day.
“I think it's an extremely mature and selfless thing and we are honored to partner with them,” Hayes said.
Chase's dad hoping people catch the generous spirit of his son.
“It will only really work out well if everyone participates. It's a great idea, but we need people to show up and bring toys and have fun.”
Volunteers say this could be what gets a toy under every child's tree.
“I am expecting four or five hundred toys that day,” Stockton said.
Chases Red Dot Laser Tag Party benefiting Owasso Toys for Tots will be held Sunday, December 9th from 1-4 p.m. at the Rejoice Church North Campus Gym - 13413 E. 106th St. N. Owasso. The entrance fee is one new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more.
