Renters at an Owasso apartment complex are fired up about millions of bird droppings covering their cars and sidewalks. The noise from the birds is deafening at night.

People living around The Greens apartment complex say the same thing over and over.

"It's everywhere. It's just a mess," says Michael Franks.

"You can't even come outside without smelling it, and my friends won't even come over anymore because of it," says Elena Phillips.

Renters here are tired of all the mess. And it's not just the mess that's bothering everyone, but it's also the noise.

"They're noisy and I don't know why but it's just this one section of the property," says Jason Trayhal.

Franks has only lived here for four days and he's already annoyed, but he does have an idea of how they may have gotten here.

"Before this was an apartment complex it was probably something else. It could have been a pond here," says Franks.

Everywhere people look, cars are covered and feathers litter the grass. And that's not all.

The problem is even driving away people who don't live at the complex.

Phillips tells FOX23 she just got off work and was headed to go wash her car.

"It costs like 7 bucks every time, like every two days or so to wash your car," she says.

FOX23 wanted to find out what the apartment complex was doing about the problem.

FOX23’s Sharon Phillips was told to call their corporate offices. She later got an email saying they would be looking into the problem.

All I can say is that my 44 year old brother just passed away from fungal pneumonia caused by histoplasmosis, which is a disease cuased by a fungus found in decaying bird droppings. Wish his apartment complex had looked into it. Kind of miss having him around.
