Bartlesville student arrested after threats of shooting at school

Police say on Thursday morning officers responded to the high school just before 11 a.m. in reference to threats. They say school officials told officers a student had talked about ‘planning a shooting at the school.’

Society has always had "psycopaths" that are capable of these types of evil. It's just that now, these problems are sensationalized by the media in real time and this sensationalism intices these types of individuals to perform heinous crimes to be forever remembered.

A psychopath whose mother potty trained him with a baseball bat when he was twelve and now society has to pay,strange how four or five will crop up around the country at the same time...Manchurian Candidates hypnotized by video games?Seems to be the thing alot of them have in common...expert gamers

It's not loudmouths like this that worry me. This individual is just struggling for attention. I'd say give him some. Put him in basic training with the army and get him some group attention. It's the short fuse that just goes on a tangent we can protect ourselves from normal behavior all we want. That will still never protect us from the abbé normal malfeasance of a random opportunists that use situations like this to make a statement. Ban guns? J Jones used a smile and convinced hundreds to drink the koolaid. Banning koolaid will not stop a slick con from reaching their twisted goal. Peer element is the strongest tool in our society. Participation in good healthy group activity has been the fiber that bonds our society in future success.

I don't remember this ever happening when I was in school,it seems like it really took off after the song "Jeremy" was released by Pearl Jam back in the early 90s...so much for MTV not influencing children,they even stopped showing the video after Columbine
