A tip led drug agents to find nearly two dozen guns, meth, and marijuana in an Adair County home Friday night.

Agents say the man involved is still on the run.
Twenty-one rifles and handguns were seized from underneath a man's bed. District 27 Violent Crime and Drug Task Force Director Mike Moore says the man was exchanging the stolen guns for drugs.

"This is the currency. This is why your house gets broken into," said Moore. "People want to steal this stuff and they're not going to buy groceries."
He teamed up with the Cherokee Nation Marshals to recover the guns. Now they face the task of tracking down the owners. Moore says the hard part is some guns were reported missing but without the serial numbers.

"Unfortunately when a lot of people file police reports they don't have their serial numbers written down or logged anywhere," he told FOX23's Dontaye Carter.

The guns were missing from across the country. One was tracked back to Georgia.

"Guns are the currency for the dope," Moore said.

They're working to stop the transaction. This is Moore's second month as director of the organization and the second day this week with a big bust.

"We're trying to hit them where it hurts," he said.

He showed FOX23 photos of another big bust Wednesday. They teamed with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and recovered more than $1,500 in cash, a jar full of marijuana and some of the biggest meth crystals Moore says he's ever seen. Agents arrested Ralph Johnson.

"We're here. We're looking and we're constantly working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We're coming," said Moore.

Moore said they're not working to arrest the man behind the stolen guns.
