Four teens are in Police Custody right now after they led officers on a high speed chase.

It started in Tulsa and ended in Broken Arrow near the Creek Turnpike and 81st Street.

Our crews were the first on the scene when officers put the teens in hand cuffs.

Officers say it's dangerous to be driving fast without being able to see very far in front of them.

But it's also what helped them finally get the four into custody right here on this road, which goes over the Creek Turnpike.

There were about 10 Broken Arrow and Tulsa Police cars who chased the silver Chrysler 300.

Officers say it was stolen which is likely why the teens tried to take off when an officer first tried to pull the driver over for an expired tag.

The driver cut through neighborhoods and got up to about 90 miles per hour, with officers behind the car the whole way.

Even though the driver went very fast, officers say he was pretty safe and didn't drive erratically.

But still, with a high speed chase, officers are always worried about their safety as well as the people they are after.

"It can be dangerous," Corporal Kevin Warne says, "especially at night time. You never know if an animal is going to run out in front of you or a car is going to run out in front of you, so you have to keep those things in mind."

Officers searched the car, but didn't find much inside.

Again the whole race issue brought up? KSchneider is there any reason that is the only focus you have on any new story? 4 teenagers refused to follow the law and therefore were arrested. That is what the news story is about. Racism is a problem in our country but quite frankly, I found more people that are African American being prejudice against people whom they view are white. Skin tone is skin tone. This entire racism issue wouldn't be as much of an issue if people would just let it die instead of using it as a tool to say they were unfairly treated. As far as I am aware nobody is alive today that served as a slave. Drop the chip in your shoulder, be a person, gain an education by your own rights, and contribute to society rather than trying to pick at "black thugs so it had to be stolen."

So how do 4 black thugs get their hands on a Chrysler 300? It must have been stolen.

High speed chases are very dangerous. Not only for officers but also for whoever is being chased AND innocent bystanders. These officers should have suspended their effort way before they got to broken arrow.
