Sgt. Mann with Tulsa police told FOX23 that Sgt. Steve Stoltz was patrolling the area of 21st Street & Garnett he saw a teen at the Fiesta Mart across the street. Stoltz went to approach the teen, but the teen took off running. The officer soon caught up but noticed while he was running that the back of the teen's shirt was soaked in blood. The officer began asking the teen what happened. The teen seemed intoxicated by alcohol but explained he was robbed by several African-American males and stabbed several times.

Tulsa police saw the injuries and dispatched for EMSA's assistance. EMSA arrived and transported the teen to the hospital in stable condition.

The teen is 16 years old and has now been released from the hospital.
