Rogers County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested 21-year-old Harley Ray McFarland for raping a 13-year-old girl.
The girl’s father reported to deputies that his daughter had been raped by McFarland in early April and the two had met through Facebook. He contacted deputies on Tuesday.
Investigators then used the daughter’s Facebook account and pretended to be her. They asked McFarland to meet her (them) at Lauchbaugh Park in Claremore on Thursday around 4:00 p.m. In the past the investigators say they had met at Claremore Lake. That is when they met up with him at the park and arrested him.
Reports said McFarland admitted to having sex and oral sex with the girl. He also said he thought she was 17-years-old and not 13-years-old.
McFarland is charged with rape and sodomy and is under a No Contact Order.
His bond for sodomy is $25,000 and his bond for first degree rape is $50,000.
