Should you spay or neuter your cat? Unless you have a purebred and plan to breed it, the simple answer is yes. Each year, millions of dogs and cats are destroyed because there just aren't enough homes for them. You may have heard that a cat should have a litter before being spayed. This is just plain wrong. Following that advice brings still more unwanted animals into the world. The best time to spay or neuter a cat is when it's about six months old. Afterwards, it'll still be the same lovable friend you've grown to love, and you'll have done your part as a responsible pet owner.
