Pumpkin pie serves as the delicious conclusion to most Thanksgiving
dinners. Going with fresh ingredients can enhance a pumpkin pie's distinct
flavor. But that does not mean canned goods are necessarily bad. Some
cooking experts say canned pumpkin can make a surprisingly good pie if
handled correctly.
Using low-fat
or fat-free evaporated milk instead of whole evaporated milk can slice
200 calories and nearly 30 grams of fat from a pumpkin pie filling.
