South Yale Avenue between East 11th Street and East 12th Street to close Friday Night for sanitary sewer work.
South Yale Avenue between East 11th Street and East 12th Street will be closed for sanitary sewer work from 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, until 7 a.m. Saturday, March 16.
This is part of a street rehabilitation project for the intersection of East 11th Street and South Yale Avenue, scheduled for completion in September. The project also includes Vision 2025 Route 66 enhancements. These include Route 66 shields in the pavement, brick paver sidewalks on the corners, decorative fencing at the northeast and northwest corners of the intersection, a centennial clock and plaques commemorating the history of Route 66.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $2.9 million project, which also includes a nearby neighborhood street and intersection. Funding for this project has come from the Vision 2025 Sales Tax and the 2008 General Obligation Bond Issue.
