It doesn’t take long for your lawn to get too long, but imagine going for months without mowing as you watch your lawn grow out of control because you can’t mow your lawn in the heat and you can’t afford to help.

That’s exactly what’s happening to many seniors.  Dorothy showed FOX23 how she’s struggling to keep her lawn from growing out of control.  She’s 87 and can’t physically handle the mowing, especially in the heat.  Without a lot of help without the extra money to pay someone, she didn’t know what to do.

Dorothy said, “It would be nice to get rid of all this because I'm always afraid somebody's going to report me.”

Oxford Healthcare in Tulsa came by to see if they could help.  Program Manager, Toni Pardue, met with Dorothy and took a look at her lawn.
