FOX23's investigation into Perfect Flame gas grill fires helped prompt a recall thousands of those grills last year.
We've continued our investigation into other models of that samegas grill brand because many of you in Oklahoma and across the country have told us those grills also catch fire and need to be recalled.
Since the recall of the Perfect Flame Grill GAC3615 last year, FOX23 has not stopped investigating because more of you have shown us other perfect flame grills, not included in the recall, that catch fire.
Ralph Brocco's Perfect Flame grill caught fire in Long Island, NY. He said, "The whole grill was engulfed in flames. It was very white heat and there were white balls spewing out, shooting in all different directions."
Just like many other grill owners have told FOX23, Brocco said the fire was nearly impossible to put out because the metal itself was on fire.
Brocco said, "we tried to hose the grill down and it only made matters worse. It ignited even more. I said to myself, I know that smell from work as a welder. I said, it smells like magnesium. It made it flame up. It went up even higher then."
