Welcome to Henryetta!

Known as the “Rodeo Cowboy Capital of the World” or “The City of Seven Hills,” Henryetta is and has been the home of multiple world champion cowboys, such as the late 16-time rodeo world champion cowboy Jim Shoulders. You just might have heard of a Dallas Cowboy quarterback named Troy Aikman; yep, he’s from Henryetta too.

The area now known as Henryetta originally served its founder, Hugh Henry, as a beautiful cattle range nestled at the foot of Tulledega Hills. The City was founded in 1901, and it still shares its nostalgic lure through its Main Street architecture and Historic Nichols Park.

Located at the intersection of I-40 and Highway 75, Henryetta is a short drive from major metropolitan areas. Outdoor recreational opportunities are abundant and complimented by beautiful landscapes. Our K-12 education facilities are second to none with comparative sized communities, and Henryetta’s Hillcrest Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with complementing facilities just 50 miles to the north in Tulsa. Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology and Green Country Technology Center campuses are only 10 miles to the north.
