(TULSA, Okla.) November 6 - At any gym, people are close together and they're sweating, a perfect place for MRSA to spread.

At Powerhouse Gym, managers do whatever it takes to bring customers in and lately they're also working hard to keep MRSA out.  “We're doing what we feel is our best to keep the gym as clean as possible", says gym manager Ray Jenkins.

While so far there have been no reported MRSA cases at any Tulsa gyms, those who use them fear that could change.

If it does show up at a gym, it's possible the public may never know about it.  The Tulsa Health Department doesn't track MRSA cases because federal law doesn't require it.  While there is currently a push to change that, customers say they're already doing what it takes to protect themselves.

If you're trying to make sure MRSA is not in your house, according to the CDC, you need to use a product that says on the label that it can kill MRSA.  A bleach water solution will also work.

Over the past week other cases of MRSA were found at four different Tulsa schools and the high school in Owasso.
