The holidays will be here before you can say "Here comes Santa Claus," and with the holidays come the festive parties. Create a winter inspire whisky drink to get the party really fired up. Enso Bar Mixologist and Owner Angie Green creates seasonal cocktails for Enso that you can create at home for your next holiday party.
The Snow Cap Recipe:1..5 ounces Revel Stoke spiced whiskey
1 ounce Irish Cream
1 ounce Grand Marnier (or orange liqueur)
.5 ounce cream or ½&½
2 tsp Powdered Sugar
Shake all ingredients together and serve in brandy snifter over ice.
Garnish with Nutmeg and Orange Twist
Royal Gingersnap Recipe:1.5 ounces of Crown Canadian Whiskey
1 tsp Orange marmalade
2 dashes of ginger syrup
1 orange slice
1 maraschino cherry
Muddle fruit with marmalade and syrup in mixing glass, add whisky and ice and shake and strain into a rocks glass with cinnamon sugar rim and add flamed orange zest
(To make ginger syrup, dice three inch piece of ginger with 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water and bring to boil in small saucepan and let simmer for an hour. Cool and strain into airtight refrigerated container)
The Lickety Split Recipe:
1.5 ounces Rye Whiskey (Bulleit Rye)
1 ounce Aperol
.5 ounce honey syrup (2 parts honey/1 part water)
juice from ½ a grapefruit
Mix ingredients and strain into small cocktail or coupe glass.
Garnish with Orange Twist
