Total Conditioning is an easy-to-follow athletic-based interval class that works your entire body through muscular strength and endurance training with a cardiovascular impact. This is one of the most challenging classes at Life Time Fitness because it consistently pushes you.
This class is designed to make you stronger, workout harder, increase your active range of motion, improve your cardiovascular system, and elevate your anaerobic threshold.
We follow a progression of three exercises in this class. The first exercise includes a basic strength. The second exercise includes a strength with movement or compound strength. The third exercise includes a dynamic movement or large range of motion plyometric challenge.
Here is an example of an upper body workout and lower body workout that will give you a full-body workout.
• Chest:
o First exercise: Push-ups
o Second exercise: Then we go into and plank/abs move (slow running man) with push-up
o Third exercise: Repeat exercise at a higher speed
• Legs
o First exercise: Alternating lunges with shoulder lateral raise
o Second exercise: 8 single lunges with shoulder press
o Third exercise: Run taps
