In conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness Month Verizon Wireless and DVIS is hosting a free event at the Philbrook Museum. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about domestic violence from domestic violence experts after the screening of the documentary "Telling Amy's Story." The documentary is about a young mother killed at the hands of her husband as she was trying to leave the abusive relationship. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Find out more at www.dvis.org or www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline.

Verizon Wireless also has a program called Hopeline, in which people can donate their no-longer-used cell phones and accessories that will be refurbished and given to victims to use as a safeline. If you or someone you know needs help call the hotline at 1-800-522-SAFE.
