Surprise your mom with a scrumptious brunch this Mother's Day. Chef Shelly Hayslett from Lambrusco'z has a meal that is sure to put a smile on mom's face.
EVERYONE’S FAVORITE BACON
Place 8 -10 slices of bacon on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
SAVORY FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE
*8 lg eggs, beaten
*1 ½ C milk
*1 loaf of your favorite bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
*4 oz cream cheese
*¼ C butter, melted
1 C cooked, chopped bacon
1 C shredded cheese
1 C cooked, diced onion
1 t ea salt and pepper
1 t garlic
Cut cream cheese into 1 inch cubes. Spray 9 x 11 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Place ½ of bread cubes in baking pan, evenly top with cream cheese cubes, swiss cheese and bacon, top with remainder of bread cubes. In separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, butter and seasonings. Pour mixture over casserole. Cover and bake for 35 minutes, uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes to brown the top of casserole.

*First 5 ingredients of the above recipe
2 t vanilla
½ C brown sugar, packed
Follow directions above, excluding savory ingredients, instead layer mom’s favorite berry over cream cheese layer. Add the vanilla and brown sugar to your milk and egg mixture, follow baking instructions.
HASH BROWN NESTS
1-20 oz bag hash brown potatoes
1/3 C chopped green onions
½ C grated parmesan cheese
1 t each salt and pepper
2 T vegetable oil
Mix all ingredients and place in muffin pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
*If desired form into nest shape in the muffin cup.
