Steamed and Stuffed Artichokes (or Okie Doakie Artichokie) Recipe:

Cut the stem off the bottom of the 'choke (this makes it level or easier to steam) and trim the outer leaves with kitchen shears.

Place the artichokes in a steamer and steam for approximately 30 minutes (or until the meat at the base of the leaves is tender).

Remove the 'chokes from the steamer and place in a deep dish bowl to stuff. To one of the artichokes add about four ounces of Dalesandro's Finest Caesar Salad Dressing* and stuff down between the leaves Pecario Romano cheese and Italian Breadcrumbs.

Let set (to marinate) for 10 minutes. While this artichoke is finishing, melt one stick of butter in a saucepan (microwave) and juice two lemons and add 1/4 teaspoon sugar to the lemon juice and add this mixture to the melted butter.

Put the mixture in a cup and pull the leaves off the artichoke and "dip" the leaves in the butter/lemon mixture and enjoy. The other artichoke can be enjoyed "as is."

Dalesandro's Finest Caesar Dressing Mix can be found in Tulsa Stores by going to www.dalesandrosfinest.com or by looking on DalesandrosFinest on Facebook to find locations and other recipes.
