A mother daughter pair brought their passion for fashion and design into fruition with the new clothing line called Vestida. The line creates clothing that fits each individual. "Stemming from a long Nunez family tradition, handmade clothing was a necessary means to an end," Maria Stevenson, cofounder of Vestida said. "As a child, Betty “Nunez” Stevenson and her sisters longed for the trends that graced the covers of magazines. Growing up in a family of 8, budget was always a big issue and along with her sisters, finding affordable and unique clothing - that was similar to the looks they loved, proved to be a difficult time." From that point on Betty became a seamstress and now sews each pieces from the Vestida clothing line to fit each woman that buys it. The designs are vintage inspired and offer an array of types of clothing from shirts to pants, jumpsuits and dresses.
