To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Go Red for Women campaign Stylish Stepmom Heidi Ducato has brought by fashion ideas to show support for National Heart Health Awareness Month. "The American Heart Association is challenging America to “Go Red” on National Wear Red Day, Friday, February 1," Ducato said. "One in three women will die of heart disease. It’s the #1 killer of women above all cancers combined," Ducato said. Some of her suggestions to help prevent heart problems is to eat healthy, exercise regularly, and see your doctor for check-ups.
"Encouraging people to be proactive and not reactive. So many times people wait to ‘change their lifestyle/habits’ after an event has happened. Why not be proactive and PREVENT the event from happening in the first place?" she said.
The local Tulsa chapter is encouraging all of Tulsa to “Go Red” to show support for the cause – could be individuals/employees wearing red, businesses decorating store fronts in red, offering ‘red specials’ to raise funds for AHA, etc., etc, Ducato said.
