St. John Siegfried Health Club offers multiple lunch time work outs to get your heart pumping. Ann Walton, St. John Siegfried Health Club director decided to add these classes because it's such a great time for fitness. "What we call “found time” – typically you have a dedicated time set aside that doesn’t involve your job or your family," she said. It also revs up the metabolism and gives an increase in mood and energy levels. To make it easier to get up and go, Walton recommends keeping a stash of dry shampoo, baby wipes, basic grooming necessities stashed in your office or a gym bag.
"St. John Health Club offers Zumba express, quick spin, chisel classes designed especially for those looking for quick, effective lunch workouts," she said.
For those without a gym, Walton recommends walking stairs in your building, take a walk outside/near your building, walk inside a parking garage for extra incline or perform a tabata routine in a small open area. Tabata gives a heightened version of high intensity interval training with thirty seconds of high impact and 10-20 seconds of active rest.
