Now that summer is here, we’re all looking forward to cooling off in the nearest swimming pool. GDGC asked Joshua Kingsley with Pools Plus by DK about the process of getting a pool as well as the many accessories that Pools Plus offers: If someone wants a swimming pool, how does this process start?
Start by giving us a call, and we will set up a meeting on site and discuss designs ideas. If you already have a design by an architect, we will discuss the details that need to be worked out. If there is no design, we start by sending you some ideas with your lot in a 3D image. Once we have settled on a design that you like, we set up a secondary meeting either on site or in our showroom where we go over the bid and any options. How long does a pool usually take to construct?
Four to eight weeks for most standard pools, weather permitting. How much of the process does pools plus handle?
We will handle as much or as little of the project as the homeowner requires. Some projects we work strictly on the pool, but on many we will contract every part of the project down to the last detail while keeping as much work done in house as possible (pergolas, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces).Does Pools Plus involvement end when the construction process is over?
Now that we have a retail space, we are happy to help customers with anything else they need for their backyard: furniture with custom fabric, umbrellas, outdoor grilling accessories, pool chemicals, and even weekly pool service. When is the best time of year to install a pool?
There is really no best time. Pool construction happens year round.Pools Plus
