Mother's Day is the one day to show how much you appreciate all of the selfless things your mom does for you. A personalized gift made by you is sure to put a tear in "mom's" eye. "I believe in creativity and making things for people helps stretch my creativity and shows them I took time to think of them and did the work to give them a truly unique gift," Jackie Brown, owner of Interiors By Jackie Brown said. Homemade jewelry can show the crafty side of yourself. "There are lots of bead and findings supplier that are big box stores, but I encourage Tulsans to search out the little shops...like the Bead Shop on 15ht street near Harvard."
Here's How to Create Your Own Jewelry:
First plan out the piece - long/short/bracelet/necklace; then pick out the findings or beads and lay them out on a cloth so you can keep things neatly aligned. Finally, you just string the beads / findings and add a clasp - as necessary.
Be sure your elastic or string is not too large for the bead / finding hole! That is a bummer.
*** As with all young children, be sure the beads are not too small for them for safety reasons, but yes, anyone can do it!
