The design trends are constantly changing from retro to jewel tones. The color grey is going in many homes now. It's been called "the new beige" by HGTV Designer Shane Inman. One effective and way to use the grey scheme is by using concrete. "Anybody can do these projects because the cost is relatively low, needed materials are limited, and the skill set is something a beginner can pick up quickly," Kara Paslay of Kara Paslay Designs said. "Concrete has come a long way! We use to think of concrete as a strictly functional product, but now we are seeing amazing uses for it," she said. "You can use it for countertops, walls, and all sorts of home décor projects."
You'll need a large bowl, bag of concrete, and a trowel. Ardex, Feather Finish concrete overlay can be found for $20 a bag at karapaslaydesignsblogspot.com. The Henry Feather Finish concrete overlay is at Home Depot $17 a bag.
