I found something more terrifying to read than your vivid account of the race. It was your post-marathon meal, and I quote: "After I left, I went to a friends house, drank some champagne, ate a plate of home-made lasagna, two plates of chicken and rice, and two bowls of Apple Jacks Cereal then passed out! It was great!" Ah yes, it's the old lasagne rice chicken Apple Jacks champagne caserole! It's now the official post-marathon meal for all runners! It's too bad your stomach can't write a blog entry, because I have a feeling it would be very entertaining! ;-) Anyway, we'll all be thinking of you for the Dallas marathon and looking forward to these joy-filled blogs. You are THE BEST!

You are all crazy. Chera sprint until you can't any more. Tiffany, first one but gunning for more. Jeanean, quiet but model of consistency and yeah I did noticed you tried to get away at Mile 8. Running 2 or 3 in 2 or 3 months? Be careful as you are about to venture into the relm of those crazy enough to believe it is possible. Of course it is, there are others that have done more......... Because they believe thay can do it. You are there. just one more water stop, one more mile, one more step.... Congratulations, job well done!

Jeanean, I am laughing so hard!!!! I don't even reacal that other conversation via text! What a mess we were--but we were laughing, I remember that much! I know Tiffany grabbed my hand to cross the finish line---and I only know that because of the pictures! I wish tiff and Sandi could go. Jeanean, I think you have the bug too as it didn't take too much to convince you to run the Route 66 after the Chicago Marathon and it didn't take much to talk you into running Dallas!!! hahahaha. At least this time, Kathryn isn't pacing so we can stay with her. I'm thinking of holding a picture of Tiffany and the other Hawt AsSphlats with me, to make it seem like they are runnng it with us! Are we the onnly other crazy people to run marathons back to back? I think this is how Captain Insane-O started out....oh no........ :-) I have to admit I missed the pizza...but I think I recall seeing someone eat it when I was in the First Aid Tent, but I didn't have any. After I left, I went to a frineds house, drank some champagne, ate a plate of home-made lasagna, two plates of chicken and rice, and two bowls of Apple Jacks Cereal then passed out! It was great. I wanted to run the next day but the coaches said, "No!" so I waited until Tuesday to run and I have run almost everyday since! I can't wait for DALLAS!!! Tim and Lori at Fleet Feet Sports have created monsters with us!! :-) Okay, so I don;'t rmember you looking pale, I just remember commenting on how good I thought you looked after you noticed my horrible Salt marks! You were not sweating and still had color in your cheeks. Tiffany looked good too as did the other ladies from our group! I'm sure I looked more than pale, I probably looked gray! Who the heck spints in the middle of a marathon?! Oh,lessons learned! Anyway congrats to you and thanks for hanging with me! Next time, I'm bringing salt tablets AND Vitamin B! As I write this, you & I are signing up for New Orleans! That makes a marathon every month since Oct! :-)

What a great recap! I'll definitely print this out for my marathon scrapbook. I recall another conversation we shared around mile 20 something. We were questioning just why we were running a marathon! Every fiber of our being was definitely being felt! I lost you after the finish...we were both a bit dazed and I remember you looked pale. I know I felt pale! I didn't stay around long to celebrate... To go with my aching quads I had a bit of an upset tummy that the pizza at the finish didn't help. I took my ice bath and crawled into bed. Within a few hours after finishing the marathon I get a message from you asking if I was ready to run Dallas! That's when I knew you had the bug. I responded,..'are you kidding me?....ask me again tomorrow' And so the story goes...I'm signed up for White Rock!!! Yay!

Thanks!!!! Wow...you have been through all types of weather haven't you? Good job! I really enjoy the challenge, but I really love the friends that I have made and so it makes it really fun to run! I will definitely blog about White Rock! I'll try and write another blog this week and I think Clay and I will do another Vlog tonight or tomorrow! :-)

Honolulu is a very challenging marathon you atart at 4.30 in the morning by noon its 80 degrees and its hilly in some sections but a awesome fireworks display at start and a finish line full of foods and drinks. My best time is 5.20 I am a racewalker I did that at Whiterock the heat took toll on me at Honolulu it did a 5.40 marathon Chicago was the most fun with the mass of people to cheer you on and the different sections of Chicago like old town china-town Greek village and downtown that marathon was a 5.24 Cowtown was a killer very windy day hard and tiring I finished in 5.36 marathon I enfoyed my marathons hope to do antother one somday I admire people who try and have the will to finish Your coach is correct dont worry about the just finish and just do it. again I will be looking forward to Whiterock blogs.

Hello, Racewalker!!! Thanks for commenting! I will definitely keep you posted on everythig, and am planning to blog on Saturday's or Sundays and during the week! I'd love to hear about your experiences. How was Honolulu? My girlfriend ran that about 5 years ago and said it was HOT! I have heard that all of the other marathons that you mentioned were incredible! Any advice for me or others tackling White Rock...or just running in general? Thanks for the support...it really helps...a lot! See ya out on the course and happy running! :-) ~Chera
