Problems With Roofing Company

A worker accuses a roofing company of not paying him for completed work, and the homeowner who already paid thousands of dollars for the new roof is stuck in the middle.

Our solving problems team investigated the roofing company and found out this isn’t the first time the owner has been accused of not paying workers.

Pat Lamp paid $7,500 for her new roof.  John Webb says he was the worker who installed the roof, but he never saw a dime of that money.  At first John said the roofing company owner told him he didn’t have the money to pay him because the homeowner hadn’t paid.  John said he was told the homeowner had been out of the country.  Pat, the homeowner says, that was a lie.

John says he’s tried to get paid, but the roofing company owner keeps telling him the same thing.  John said, “He keeps telling me to stop calling because he’d call me when he has the money.  He told me plain and simple he didn’t have the money.”

John said he’s considering legal action like others have done in the past.

I'm looking for a company to do my roof, thank all of you for letting me know who NOT to call, I will research the company and if Steve Wootens name is anywhere, I will not give him my $4500, there are too many others who are doing a good and honest job.

Steve Wooten still has not paid me as of today, 09-10-2009. So I guess that this is the first time he has not paid an employee, for what he is owed. I think not. Steve, there is still time for you to make this right. Not only with me, but with all the seemingly countless others you are in debt too. All it takes, is for you to make an honest, genuine effort. Oh, and by the way, that money isn't yours. The last I heard, a person could go to jail for spending someone elses money.

People don't even know what "been saved" even means anymore. They try to use Christianity as a "forgive all" check while continuing to live the same way they always have; real Christianity causes people to change for good, for life, not a week or so. People also think because judgment has not been executed speedily, they have gotten away with it, not so either. That is why many will stand before God one day and profess they have done many mighty works and God will reply, depart from me workers of iniquity, I never knew you. Being saved is not something we as people decide, that will be determined by God when we stand before Him. “Been saved” is a live style change that takes a life time commitment.

BEWARE! He's now using the name "United Roofing" on Craigslist and other places.

The BBB informed me that they had spoken with him today and they were sending him the THIRD notice because he has made no response to complaints. We will see if he fesses up, which he probably will not. I intend to use the BBB information when I take Wooten to court as well as his texts & voice messages. Lucky for our crew the homeowner has agreed to show up in small claims as well to help us. $4K is a lot of money when jobs are scarce & bills are piling up. I paid my crew out of my savings for their work and now I have nothing left. My bank account has been closed. Where do you think the money is going? Head out to the Catoosa poker room if you want to contact him or look up his myspace page and see how he is making home improvements with the money we earned.

As of today, August 9, 2009, he still hasn't paid me. the last time he talked to me, he told me to F&*% Off! I'll be praying for him. The devil really has a hold of him.

Oh and by the way: He targets people at the Hard Rock casino. I have contacted craigslist a few times but they have not removed any ads...in fact, they are running multiple ads each day from Wooten.

He has been in jail for these exact same charges as well as violation of protective order. He is now back to posting ads under Trinity in addition to posting ads from Victory Roofing. The only thing to do is take him to court, no matter how frustrating it is to waste and more time and money on him.
