It's a business that is booming, everywhere, including right here in Tulsa. A married woman or man can go online to search out an affair.
This all started with a spam email that was sent to the newsroom. It was advertising websites for "Lonely Housewives". Turns out, that was just the tip of the iceberg.
The websites all range in their levels of taste. Some are as generic as any other standard dating website, while some are a little more lewd.
They all have one thing in common. They appeal to the married women and men out there who want to cheat.
If you don't think that would happen here, you're wrong? On every website we found, you can find a listing for men and women in Tulsa. Even find potential partners by zipcode.
FOX23 interviewed one website's founder, Noel Biderman. He told FOX23 his website has a new member every ten seconds.
Biderman said, "If you're a woman and you sign up for the service anywhere in America, I don't care how old you are, you will have a dozen men wanting to meet with you within 24 hours. So called conservative cultures are our biggest users the Bible belt ... doesn't really matter because infidelity crosses both genders, every socioeconomic group, every ethnic group. It's about loneliness"
he says the married women who join all have something in common.
Bidermen went on to say, "There is definitely a distinct group of women on our service, married women who are disenfranchised in their relationship. They haven't been told they're beautiful in God knows how long."
