If you have to blanch them, leave them in water 5 more minutes, score around the middle and pull the peels off.

I'm loving having product testing by a local station! It's something I've missed since moving here. I've never used these mitts, but in all fairness to the manufacturer, they were not tested fairly! The box, and the website, clearly state the potatoes must first be BLANCHED before using the mitts! I'm sure it's like making potato salad. Boil the red potatoes whole, then slip the skins off when they're done! Anyway, I hope they check the directions a little more closely in future!
