Students are back inside Bixby's Central Elementary School after a gas meter leak at the school.

Oklahoma Natural Gas, the fire department and the fire marshal responded to the scene.  The Bixby Public School superintendent says a car ran over a gas meter nears the school and severed it from the source pipe so the gas was blowing out of the pipe fast.   The principal quickly moved the kids away from the line and called police and fire, who recommended evacuations.

The students were loaded on to buses and taken to the gyms at the high school while the fire department plugged it and gave the all clear.
