Owasso police are looking for thieves who are targeting parents.

Police say the crooks are looking for parents dropping their kids off at preschool or daycare in the morning and then breaking into their cars or using unlocked doors. Purses and other valuables have been stolen.

Police urge people not to leave valuables in their vehicle, don’t leave it running and always keep your vehicle locked.

Mayor Maynot is right. DUH! Why do people keep leaving valuables in their car or leave the motor running. I still see cars parked in front of QT's with their engines running and no one inside. STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!

What parent in their right mind would leave their purse or other valuables in an unlocked car..that is an invitation to take my valuables as I don't care about them since I left them in my unlocked or running car. Use your brain people and utilize common sense. DUH!!
