Bixby police have found the car of a missing woman.
48-year-old Kelley Harris was last seen the evening of July 3rd. Her family went 20 days without a single clue but this discovery is giving her search new life.
"I love her more than anything in the world, said Bradney Chitwood, the Harris’s son. “I miss her more than anything in the world."
Chitwood says he finally has something to follow up on. However, there are still a lot of questions.
"Why didn't they find her with it?" He asked.
He was hoping when they found Harris' car, they'd find his mother.
"When they didn't find her that's where the nervous and worried, where's she?" Chitwood wondered.
Tulsa police found the car Friday morning when driving through the Bristol Park apartments.
TPD found the vehicle all four windows were down, they ran the tags and that's when they realized it belonged to the missing woman. BPD says just hours before it rained, but there weren't any water spots but it led them to believe someone else was driving.
"There are a thousand different scenarios that can play out,” said Bixby Police Detective Andrew Choate. “None of them have a good ending."
Harris was last seen at the Wal-Mart in Bixby. It was one of their biggest clues until they found her car Friday. They're hoping someone in this apartment complex saw something to help them tie all the clues together.
"We're going to ask neighbors about the vehicle, we're going to ask neighbors about possibly seeing Ms. Harris in the area," said Choate.
"It's a hard thing to deal with everyday."
Bixby police told me when Harris disappeared she was carrying $860 on her at the time. They believe someone at Bristol Park apartment complex might have some answers.
