Tulsa police are investigating the city’s 43rd homicide.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 4900 block of S Norfolk around midnight Sunday.

They found Tyler Gragg shot to death inside a Cadillac and the car crashed into a fire hydrant. Police said a passenger in the car was not injured and was interviewed about what happened.

Police say there is not a clear motive yet, but prior to the shooting the victim was involved in a drug transaction. It is unknown if this transaction has anything to do with the shooting.

Police believe the suspects were close by when the victim drove to his residence. The victim noticed something wrong and drove around the block and encountered a small four door car that may be light colored.

Two men got out of the small car and words were exchanged as the victim continued to sit in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The victim was shot and the men got into their vehicle and fled east on 49th street.

Anyone with information on this murder please call Crime Stoppers at 918 596 2677, The Homicide Tip Line at 918 798 8477 or email homicide@cityoftulsa.org
