Holding people on fabricated charges because they arent telling you the story you want to hear is not exactly a way to gain back the people's trust in our broken police department.

To be fair, some of the officers ARE really trying to do their job, but this "don't snitch " crap is getting a lot of people killed and keeping a lot of trash out on the streets to kill again. If I see someone, anyone committing a crime, I will run, not walk to the nearest cop to tell them everything I possibly can about the perp, and I have been yelled at, made to feel like I was the criminal, made to feel like I was some ignorant corn cob and warned that false reports would land me in jail....and I still would not hesitate to call the cops for a crime.....so I think it is high time they started arresting these people who witness a crime and lie to the cops, if they lie for the criminals then they become accomplices to the crime, or at the very least are guilty of obstructing justice.... GOOD FOR YOU TPD....!

The big issue is not what the TPD are or are not doing. It's the number of homicides that have happened so far this year alone. They have nothing to do with TPD's actions. This girl was murdered for no reason at all, and you all want to blame it on the TPD? Take a look around. People are getting murdered for stupid sh** all the time now. They are doing everything they can to prevent this from happening, and if they have to lock people up in jail for giving false statements and lying about witnessing for a murder then maybe that's what they need to do.
