A Tulsa woman is accused of using her eight-year-old daughter as a human shield when officers tried to arrest her during a disturbance call.

Elizabeth Cox was arrested for public intoxication Saturday at the Canyon Creek apartments near 51st and Lewis.

The arrest report said Cox forced her daughter between her and the officers to keep them from taking her into custody. Cox is also accused of assaulting a police officer.
