Roscoe Turner just came out for Bill Christiansen for Tulsa Mayor and with that, there are stories emerging of Dewey Bartlett and Kathy Taylor bullying city councilors, isolating them (city councilors are on the 4th floor of city hall) away from the mayor's office (top floor of city hall), the mayors shutting them out, t Bartlett and Taylor screaming at councilors. I have been up there many times on gang issues and have never been able to get feedback from the mayor's office. The councilors I talk to are trying to make things work but are in many ways cut off from city government. So why do we think these proposals from this safety group will be taken into account by Bartlett or if elected, Taylor?

Sounds like they are investing all efforts into Crimestoppers and the marketing of it. I didn't realize the call center was outsourced, says out-of-state, but probably located in India or somewhere similar. :) That would be a good start, but you can't market something that is not a highly sought after commodity, I would like to see the statistics 2 years after this "marketing genius" plan is implemented. I doubt the number of criminals caught, due to information generated by crimestoppers, increases much. Why can't they just say that they don't know how to fix the problem? The news stations promote crimestoppers more then they will ever promote it anyways. Maybe TPD should donate money to Fox23 for promoting their "outsourced" functions.
