Thieves targeted a Tulsa race car driver.
They stole his sprint car, truck, and trailer taken right out of his driveway.
31-year-old Dustyn Caudle told FOX23’s Dontaye Carter it was stolen between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
"I came out at 8:30 expecting to see my truck, trailer and race car parked out here and it was completely gone," he said.
Caudle says the estimated value of the stolen items is $25,000.
Eight hours earlier he competed in his first race this year. Caudle has been racing since he was 16. The only clues he has to go off of are the trail of tire marks leaving his driveway.
"You can see how all the tire marks here all curves to the right. That's the direction I normally pull in and pull out," Caudle said.
He showed FOX23, the direction he believes the thieves went. Now, he's turned to social media for help.
"(I’m) Trying to get the word out with pictures of the car and trailer,” said Caudle.
People are coming forward with information. One woman says she’s seen the cars in Claremore.
Tulsa police say trailers are hot items for thieves right now. They say people can protect yourself by installing motion sensor lights to detect when someone does come onto your property at night.
