The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office and Jenks Police are investigating after a woman was found shot to death early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday night, deputies said they arrested 14-year-old Joshua Mooney, who was booked into the Tulsa County Jail just after 11:00pm Tuesday night. He faces charges of first degree murder.

Deputies say the victim,  47-year old Mary Escue, died from a gunshot wound. She was found by her parents in their home near 111th & Peoria, just after midnight.

"It's in a nice neighborhood, a community that has little crime and this woman wasn't from here," said Maj. Shannon Clark of the Tulsa Co. Sheriff's Office.  He says deputies aren't ruling out a home invasion.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says Escue's missing car and several items reported missing by the her parents were found in an undisclosed location in Sapulpa.

"Very surprised and shocked especially being so close, it kind of hits home," said neighbor Christie Bledsoe who runs a child daycare.  "It was kind of a shock, it made us more aware to watch the children more closely and keep our doors locked."

Officers say a camera bag in the car led police to the suspects.

The victim was a graduate of Jenks High School.

it is just plain naive to lump all people on a check into one catagory, I'm retarded and know better, and don't blame one of you for anything someone else did, it was that person and whatever they were listening to in they're head, take GOD outa the schools you see what happens , take GOD outa the courts and the poor pay for nothing else than not being able to abtain legal council, and dont even get me started on public pretenders"defenders"."I dont know where your at but I know where I've always been , downset set at the bottom with my underclass freedom" it's prejustices like I just read that make me weep for this countrys people , my prayers go out to this girls family .just thinking someone could do this makes me cry , I'ma go now .peace be with you all,and may GOD bless you where ever you take him
