TULSA, Okla. - A Tulsa teen accused in a series of sexual assaults has been charged as a youthful offender.
The Tulsa County District Attorney’s office has charged Dayquan Williams with 15 counts including two counts of burglary, assault and battery, three counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of attempted rape, robbery, three counts of sexual battery and two counts of kidnapping.
Steve Kunzweiller with the Tulsa District Attorney’s office said the “only time that you can be charged as an adult if you are under 18—is first degree murder. Despite everything Williams is accused of doing—he is being charged as a youthful offender.”
Kunzweiller said Williams, who is 16, could still be sentenced as an adult.
