A suspected Craigslist scammer is banned from selling cars.
Last week, FOX23’s Abbie Alford tried to get answers from Wililam Doyle after he was accused of selling shoddy home appliances to customers.
However, several alleged victims in Tulsa say they’ve bought cars from Doyle and have had trouble since.
The Oklahoma Used Motor Vehicle and Parts Commission says they’ve had trouble with Doyle before he went to prison in 2005. In 1999, investigators say Doyle was selling cars without a dealer’s license.
Court records show Doyle has a court order not to sell cars because he uses fake names to purchase cars and titles or cons others to put their name on the title. He is also known to use fake tags.
If you have any information on Doyle report him to the Used Motor Vehicle and Parts Commission at (405) 521-3600.
