Suspect in shooting death of Spartan students enters not guilty plea

The suspect in a quadruple shooting at the Spartan Landing Apartments entered a not guilty plea on Monday.
Mark Hopkins is charged with first degree murder and four counts of shooting with intent to kill for the February 21st shooting.
The shooting happened at apartments used by Spartan Aeronautics students, the victims and suspect were all students there. Chaz Fain, 18, died from his injuries. Three other students were injured.
Police have not released the names of the other victims or the possible motive in the shooting. Hopkins was arrested after running from police. He’s being held without bond, his next court date is scheduled for April 8th.
