In the early 1900's as the petroleum industry was taking hold in our economy. DuPont discovered/developed polymers from waste byproducts in refining. At that time all shippers used hemp rope. It was durable and cheap. No matter what, if it isn't broke don't fix it, shippers were not interested in nylon ropes (an extrusion from heated polymers) that DuPont was trying to sell. Having a little money DuPont went on a campaign with help from lobbyists bantering false mojo about the psychotic effects of marijuana on the consuming public :-( creating an economic boom for DuPont and the courts in felony imprisonment of people involved with pot. Dual diabolic deception if you ever thought of this as the land of freedom you were wrong it's the land of paydom where the elite are Coddled by the law. Probably not what our founding fathers had in mind when they spoke the constitution into life. A government sponsored monopoly that has spawned the most poisonous industry on the planet. Just look at the stain that they have made at the landfill.
