A Waurika man has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately texting with his former foster daughter.

The Lawton Police Department asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to look into allegations Robert Gutierrez Jr. sent inappropriate messages to a 15-year old girl.

Investigators say Gutierrez, a reserve officer in Ryan, was the girls foster parent several months before the message was sent.

The girl’s current foster parents alerted authorities to the texts. Gutierrez faces a charge of engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology.
