Tulsa County Sheriff deputies arrested two suspects after a short pursuit in north Tulsa early Saturday morning.

Cpl. Al Wilson says deputies attempted to pull over a black Dodge Ram pickup truck near 56th St. North and Mingo, when they realized the vehicle was stolen in Claremore. After running the plates, deputies realized the vehicle and the plates did not match.

While trying to pull the vehicle over, one man jumped from the passenger seat and ran toward O’Brien Park, where he was caught.

The driver of the pickup truck continued driving and drove through a heavy metal gate, just east of the Tulsa Gun Club, where he went inside to ask someone for a ride. Deputies arrested him at the gun club, Wilson said.

Deputies found narcotics in the pickup and they also found out that the passenger had warrants out for his arrest.
