Prue teacher accused of rape in court on Tuesday

A former Prue teacher accused of rape will be in court on Tuesday.

Katie Hightower, 26, is charged with 2nd degree rape and furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor. She’s accused of having a sexual relationship with a high school senior in August.

Investigators say Hightower was caught on surveillance video buying beer for the teen and his friends. Hightower pleaded not guilty.
